yesterday was 30th June.
yesterday was my fairytale.
yesterday was my day.
yesterday was the day when everything was perfect.
yesterday was perfect because of my

perfect friends.

who can ever ask for friends who would painstakingly discuss to plan a surprise just for you.

who can ever ask for friends who would take the whole friday night off to go out to a movie with you to celebrate your birthday.

who can ever ask for friends who understood your desires, even those you never knew you had.

the answer is no one, because these friends are truly one in a million.

SCREW ALL THOSE WHO DIDN'T EVEN WISH ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY. IS IT SO HARD TO PRETEND AS IF YOU REMEMBERED?!?! hahah oops!

for those who remembered and made my special day even more special: i thank you from the bottom of my heart.

thank you yelyn, melisa, geraldine (not gel ah), suhui, mr yang, eugene, aaron lee, wenjin, wilfred, hidayah (AIYAH!!), and denise yang for the best birthday movie ever. it was SUPERb.

thank you to all those who chipped in for my Crumpler bag, like it's PHREAKING 160 BUCKS LAH! thanks so much to geraldine, melisa, suhui, yelyn, mr yang, mr chia, hoel, wenjin, shengxun, daniel, michelle, jolin, valerie, hidayah, yusnizah, kaye, denisey, huimin, theresa, maurice, francis, han, leon, fiona, huijun, joey, arnold, wilfred, dallas, aaron lee, dinah and shimin. wow you guys knew i wanted that bag AND COLOUR, even though i myself didn't know i wanted it. =)

finally, the PHREAKING SURPRISE. thank you so much for that surprise because I DIDN'T EXPECT IT -.- hence it being called a surprise. to this i thank EVERYONE HERE because it was all such a blur to me. i can't remember everyone but i know it was fabulous.

thank goodness i didn't end up clapping for myself, RIGHT HEEDAY?? X)

yesterday was also mr yang's last day. it was his special day too and i hope he remembers his day with us forever. hopefully when you think of us in the future, you'd smile all over again. we're all behind you 100%.

i always thought of birthdays as uber-cliche.
i always thought surprise birthdays were even more cliche.
but it all changed this year.
a little when it was yelyn's, but now that it's mine,
i know how sweet it can be to be
Sweet Sixteen.
