Listen to the song. No, I mean it. Really listen to it.

Surely you believe in somesort of a destiny, or in the case of my beliefs, I believe that God has a plan for me.

It's been hard for me recently, with so many things that are causing so much doubt and worry and most painfully of all, so much pain to me. I cried to him, and he listened, but most of all - most importantly - He listened and helped me along the way. He never took away my pains and my doubt, but He has led me through. Though scathed, I'm still at least safe and I most definitely see the light.

Everything happens for a reason. Something bad that happened to you earlier, will give you an opportunity for something better - or the equivalent of it - in the future. If you can't do something big, then the time you saved from not doing that event, will open up an opportunity to do more smaller projects to ease your heart, and not to mention your innate desire to feel competent and useful.

The point of this?

There's no use dwelling on the past. You didn't get to do it, you didn't get to do it. Get over it. Know that something good will happen for you in time to come. When times are down, they can only go up from there. If you believe in God, that's great. You know that He has a plan and He knows what's best for you. You know just as well as I do, that the Lord shall never do anything that isn't in our best interest. If you don't believe in God, then that's great too. Know that there's always - always - a silver lining to each and every single cloud. Each and every single cloud out there. No matter how dark the sky, how heavy the storm is, know that it will pass, and when it does, it'll only be a better day than before the storm.

You grow with each test thrown at you everyday. You become stronger, wiser and smarter.

Don't waste your life away wondering about your future. You don't know what lies ahead, because you weren't meant to. The secrets of the Universe forbid you to know, and hoping for the best is really all you can do. Put your life in His hands, and live for each day. Taste each day, live each day and enjoy every day of your existence.

Remember that when life gets tough and it seems like you'll never pull your head out of the water, there's always someone out there to look after you and give you comfort. There's always someone out there you can cry on, and pour your sorrows out to. If not a friend, at least a helping hand like the Samaritans of Singapore (1800-221-4444) and other welfare groups.
