That feeling you get, when you turn a song on on shuffle, and the first thing you hear is that heartbreaking love song that starts crumpling your heart into a nice little ball, and it's crushing it up so slowly you feel like you could have died a million times over within that short song. That feeling you get when you see a couple together, hand in each other's hand, and you look down and you realise you're only holding on to your plastic bag from Borders, and you get the sensation where your body just alternates between deflating and completely giving way to collapse on the ground, and when you start to convulse into tears that are carefully disguised by a lock of hair covering your eyes, as you walk on ever more nonchalantly in hopes that no one noticed. And indeed, no one noticed. No one noticed you.
And that's why you're still alone.
